KEMETIC CAIRO
Kemetic Cairo is a VR experience we developed for our client 'Temple of Kulture' that transports viewers into a futuristic reimagining of an Egyptian pyramid. The environment blends ancient architectural forms with sci-fi elements, creating a surreal space that feels both sacred and speculative.
Designed for full immersion, the project invites users to explore a mythic vision of Cairo through atmospheric sound, interactive elements, and striking visual design.

The Problem
Temple of Kulture required an immersive experience that could support live demonstrations, workshops, and cultural engagement activities while remaining accessible to audiences with varying levels of familiarity with VR technology. The challenge was to create an environment that felt culturally authentic and meaningful, while also feeling visually distinct from traditional historical recreations.
The experience needed to balance education, storytelling, and spectacle, delivering strong visual impact for event settings while also providing enough depth and atmosphere to support cultural discussion and learning outcomes.

Solution
The project was realised as a mythic, future-facing interpretation of Kemetic architecture, using immersive worldbuilding, environmental storytelling, and atmospheric audio to create a space that felt both sacred and speculative. Ancient forms were combined with futuristic materials, lighting treatments, and spatial scale to create a culturally inspired but forward-looking environment.
User interaction was intentionally designed to feel natural and discovery-driven, allowing participants to explore the space at their own pace while engaging with key visual and environmental storytelling moments.

Results
The experience was successfully deployed across demonstrations and workshop environments, receiving strong positive feedback from participants and event organisers. Users responded particularly well to the atmosphere, visual worldbuilding, and the sense of cultural storytelling delivered through immersion rather than traditional presentation formats.
The project also received positive recognition from local leadership, including praise from the Mayor of Chatham, Kent, who highlighted the experience as an innovative use of immersive technology to support cultural engagement and education.
